I still support England

but there is so much football on TV these days that the "specialness" of even an England friendly in the old days has well and truly gone.

Friendlies are generally a bit s**t, qualifiers are often a bit s**t, but I'd still love it right off if we got on a run like at Italia 90 or Euro 96.

Trouble is, Rooney apart, we don't have players like Gazza, Lineker, Shearer, Beardsley, Sheringham etc anymore.
