Where's the gain in it?

1) It doesn't fit in with Earth's orbit of the Sun.

So the each "season" will last almost a year.

2) It doesn't fit in with the speed of Earth's rotation about it's axis.

So therefore your 10 hour days would be all over the shop with regards to light and dark.

3) It's just basically bollocks.

There are plenty of other reasons...
