Four points away from the playoffs is not good.

Because it means even if you get a win and a draw when the other teams outside of the playoffs lose both matches, you will still not be in the playoffs if the current playoff teams win their matches. you basically have to go on a four or five match run where you are better than any other team in the division to climb those places into the playoffs. And even then, only one team in the playoffs will go up.
