it went a bit like this

"You'll have to give us the information on the correct form"
"I have, you're looking at it"
"No, the information is missing"
"No it isn't, I took a copy. What page are youi looking at?"
"It isn't here. I'll send you another form"
"No, look at page 3, third box down"
"Hang on. Oh, right, you HAVE given it. But you haven't answered Q10"
"Yes I have. I'm looking at it now"
"Oh, sorry, not Q10, I mean Q12"

and so on. Basically she was hit by another car that had pulled out of a junction and swerved round a parked car onto her side of the road. LVE considered this for several weeks, including photos she'd sent, and eventually decided it was her fault. I don't think they DID think it was her fault, I just don't think they could be arsed to work out whose fault it was when it might work out cheaper just to pay the claim. Jaw-droppingly useless, they were. At one point I even considered riving down to Bournemouth, to their HQ, and looking them in the eyes while asking them to justify their decision - if it had been MY claim, I would have. But one shouldn't meddle in the affairs of one's adult children. I suppose.
