Arsenal Today

Our last away trip of the season, and for several reasons, one of the best. Quite liked the Emirates. The Y'Army as ever brilliant, shame the Arsenal never really managed to make much noise.

After the first two minutes we feared the worst, but a battling, committed and often skilful performance sent us to a 2-1 lead with chances to make it 3. 1R's goal was no more than we deserved, and a number of other great chances, could and should have been converted. But overall, very proud of our team today.

Some observations. Why were there no pies? 'We've done it to Tottenham, we're doing it to you' chant at 2-1. The Arsenal 'lap of honour' was an embarrassment, half-hearted at best (to a half-empty stadium).

For us it's been a great 10 months on the road (rail actually). A tremendous achievement to get where we are. Paul Lambert and all of the team should take a bow. You've all been brilliant. To my travelling companions, A & S it's been great and thanks for your marvellous company, good humour and some great memories. We go again in August!
