Anyone who saw Chelsea's 4th goal will admit that the cross from Wright Phillips was as good as you will see (they couldn't stop talking about it on Sky last night). But did we not see an equally brilliant cross from one Ian Henderson on Tuesday? Unfortunately, it was an inch from Ashton's foot so Hendo didn't get the credit. And I'm not comparing him to Wright Phillips but he just isn't getting the support or credit he deserves at the minute.
Another example. Hendo makes a mess of a cross and you can hear the groans. But how many times did Hux run the ball out of play or into trouble, without a murmur from the boo boys? It was a lot.
Hendo is one of the few players who actually supports our team and deep down gives a s**t and all he gets is a load of stick. Take the Francis situation. Against Inter, although some were booing, half the fans were cheering his every touch. Hendo could only dream of such a reception.
Then there's the standing ovation Hux recieved for getting sent off at Stoke and costing us any chance of the 3 points. Would we have seen the same if Hendo had been sent off at Brighton? I doubt it.
He is far from perfect but he shows commitment, can cross and shoot, and is played out of position. Please just give him some support and you will see him improve further. Besides, he might be one of our only decent players left if we don't go up this season.
Rant over.
