I'd always thought of him as a somewhat competent, but hopelessly lacking in any kind of street savvy. However, it now appears he is shamelessly, cravenly corrupt.

It would be laughable, if it wasn't so disgusting. Thank God there is one journalist left with some moral rectitude:
