I actually became really good friends with Denton

and was gutted when I was text that he'd died. He was a true gent and family man in his later years. And a fearsome general in his infamous years.

I was last drinking with him at the ICA after a Pet Shop Boys outdoor thing for Ken Livingston in Trafalgar Square.
