Why does Lambert keep picking him then?

Ward has even been captain a couple of times!

Surely Lambert wouldn't compromise our end of season form just to do Ward a favour by putting him in the 'shop window' (I realise he's out of contract soon), it's not as if many teams will be interested in him based on recent perfomances.

Most managers have favourites, maybe this is Lamberts'?
