years ago, when I was doing a bit of part time

minicabbing I had a pick up from Cadge Road. While I was waiting for my passenger I noticed across the road a terrace with a small front "garden" (all the frontages had been turned into car areas) which had two cars in even though it was only just over the width of one car. The second car had been turned on its side.
I thought it must have been scrapped but no, they used to tip it back on to the wheels to use it and then tip it on its side to park it.

*open mouthed thing*

No one on Cadge Rd had house numbers in the traditional sense... each house had the house number painted on the wall in about 4 foot numbers.

On another visit I was privaleged to witness four kids at 4 in the afternoon, eldest about eight, dismantling a neighbours fence and loading it onto a go kart to take away. Apparently the owners had gone on holiday.
