First of all, I don't think he's off anywhere yet. Certainly not as long as he and the club share the same vision and both are aware that the other is going to do everything in their power to try and deliver...
We can progress next season, no question. And he knows it. So he'll be here. He is far more likely to attract the very big clubs when he has done something long lastingn and significant here. Man Utd wouldn't have taken a punt on SAF unless he had won the European Cup Winners Cup. That was proof of his quality. The Cups and Championships before then had been evidence of it. Big difference. He won a trophy for them in Europe-then they made their move. Job done.
And, as and when PL does move on, I don't think he'll exit here to go to another club. I think he'll leave to "take a break"-much like MON has done in the past. His life has been constantly manic and I am sure he'd like some down time for him and his family. That way he can make a pre-planned departure from Carrow Road, the end of a season maybe, sit back, take a rest and wait for the jobs and offers to come to him in his own time.
He might only take six months or so out but that would be long enough-move on from us, we get outselves sorted out with a new Manager (I think McN would look to a foreign coach, given PL has stated so much of his success comes from playing and taking his badges in Germany) he has a break and the whole thing is managed very professionally.
Just a hunch, nothing more.
