Players should be subject to the same scrutiny then

Virtually every poor refereeing decision is the direct result of players being dishonest and trying to cheat the officials.

Until diving, cheating, faking injury and going down under minimal contact are driven out of the game then there will always be 'poor' refereeing decisions.
