Apart from it being an abuse of the loan system-surely you can't be in a position to let a player go out on loan for two whole seasons, he's either good enough for you or he isn't-it does make you wonder as to Swans belief they can get in a centre half to call their own who is as good.
I can see the point of a season loan then buying the player at the end of it-a'la Naughton we hope, though with Walker being linked to a move to Spain a potential problem there-else the parent club taking him back and giving him games.
But some players seem to spend most of their careers on loan-Bertrand the classic example, Forster another now. Is Caulker going to be next? Time to review the system-if you're not going to play the player, then don't stockpile them either and let them go and play. Better for them and the game.
So glad we have got Bennett. Providing Ayala gets fit we have one hell of a good looking central defence looming. Add Naughton to the mix and, well...
