doesn't square

with nw's recent comments about players being loyal and patient, which implied that he sees next season as the best chance of getting back up, provided we keep the quality in the squad.
i reckon this 'next 5 years' talk is all about getting up and staying up, with a commitment to signing players now with that goal in mind. but of course, i'm probably wrong.
one thing that does concern me is that the last person to talk about planning the next 5 years was robert chase, if my memory serves (....?)
