You should go to a game and see everything the refs miss!

I love the speed and power of the players. Things I've learned here, the rink is much smaller than it looks on TV. They hit HARD, seeing a check onto the glass up close is a thing of raw power. And if you are in the sight line of a shot you are going to duck and s**t your pants even though you know there's an inch thick piece of glass in between you and the puck!
