yeah and we can all remember the deafening cries of disent from the opposition benches

whenever they increased public sector borrowing.
Truth is, in the same circumstances, the Tories would have done the exact same thing (and did so under Thatcher to soak up some of the millions she threw out of work and to keep the figures more respectable)
