i think it's more to do with momentum than motivation

the team have been pretty much full-on since lambert took over and the momentum has been incredible. no surprise that once relative safety had been achieved then the foot came off the gas.

it had to really in my opinion, because firstly it's pretty hard to keep that up in the prem with the resources we have. and, secondly if we did end up in a euro spot then the whole thing might implode.
