its that they keep the ball so well as a team the opposition can't score. That's the thing about the media reaction to them that has pi**sed me off the most - I don't mind people praising their technical quality and passing ablity because they are right to do so. It is the claims that is is exhilirating and attacking football because it isn't, it is essentially definsive football. Theyt pass the ball primarily to keep the ball away from the opposition - that's why they keep so many clean sheets and also fail to score so often. They then try and hit teams on the break with the pacy wide men. It's sophisticated and technically excellent but often rather dull to watch (like Spain in the World Cup - Barcelone without Messi).
