I think the tactics were absolutely fine

...as soon as the midfield got on the front foot. Problem was that Newcastle were so sharp for the first 20 minutes, the midfield were solely dealing with that threat, leaving Morison isolated. But once we settled, Naughton, Bennett and Pilks began bombing on and Howson did a lot of his better work in their half.
