that's bulls**t

homemade bread doesn't have the same preservatives in it so doesn't last as long as a mass-manufactured loaf

it's this that means we throw away more of Mrs S's homemade bread (delicious though it is) than we do for the sliced white that we use everyday for either sandwiches or toast
