i've just returned from an experdition to ireland on the ferry

i went via holyhead/dublins on them there irish ferries. the drive was pretty ok actually there and back. the ferry was about 300 poundersons. it was pretty empty going out there but the return leg was rubbish due to coachloads of schoolkids heading to england and having a 3 hour running around the ferry marathon. apparently the idea is to smack your trainers down as hard as you can.

the exchange rate is 1 europe euro to the irish euro.

an old man did a calculation out loud at the bar; "jeez four pounds fifty a pint! what's dat in euros? foive pounds fifty!"

there is a faster ferry (90 mins) which ain't much more dinaro and this might be better with young joseph and that.
