They were just as poor at protecting the back four then, yet we often won games despite conceding. Ward's main attribute is that he's a ball player, but we have created less chances since he has been in the side and struggled to keep posession, even against Stoke! Not saying that's down to him but he has been making mistakes while our form has been very poor. Don't try and talk up a players attributes when they cleary aren't evident in recent games/not a positive influence on the rest of the team. Leon Barnett was soon dropped for similar crap. Our defence looks frail and disorganised. I guess you're going to blame others for Wards mistakes now? Oh, you already did that in another post.
