The truth behind Morison
Hi all. I know there's been a lot of talk about Morison and his apparent lack of effort or commitment over the past couple of weeks, so i thought i'd post up some facts on here so that these rumours can be put to bed and people can understand what's actually going on behind the scene.
I happen to work with Steve Morrson's dad in London. A couple of days ago i got chatting to him about things and i asked him what was up with Steve. I've noticed the change in body language and demeanour just as much as the rest of you during the last few weeks. This is what he had to say. . .
Apparently Morison picked up a knock on his ankle a few days before the Leicester game. His dad tells me that he was determined to play in spite of it and Paul Lambert agreed to him playing with the aid of injections. Obviously he struggled and had no impact on the game as we saw. I asked his dad whether he's happy at the club, which he said that Steve is loving it here. And contrary to popular rumours, he's not fallen out with anyone at the club.
Now of course he may not have been telling the truth, but i have no reason to doubt what Les told me. Steve Morison certainly hasn't become a bad player overnight. He's just struggling a little at the moment. That coupled with Holt's great form has made people forget how good he has been for us so far. He still has a huge part to play and i'm sure he'll be back to his best once he gets fully fit. Give the lad a break and stop getting on his back. Whilst he's wearing that green and yellow shirt he's one of us. Let's get behind him and and support him all the way.
