is 90% is down to the relationship with the players and the crowd. If you've got a man ridiculed by the crowd, then it's sure as eggs are eggs that the players also will not respect the man (Roeder, C Gross, etc). Pearce can get the boys on side. I don't even like him myself, but he's been there, done it. Why not? Cheaper than that mug Redknapp, who appears to be a "go out and play with passion lads" type of manager who has done brilliantly......with money.
