Its what we have needed for years. Some of his decisions wont have been popular (redundancies, cutting links with local suppliers, cutting concessions etc), but he has run the club with the view of someone outside the club.
For years we ran a nicey nicey club, who tried to appeal to all with cheap ticket prices, by being a local club using local suppliers, and by being a club that everyone liked to do business with, and where did it get us? Endless managers, pissed off fans, League 1 football and the best part of ?25m in the red.
McNally has come in and woken up the board to the realisation that football has changed since Delia took over in '96. If we want to compete we have to make tough decisions, be unpopular, and 'play the game' as everyone else does.
