Both of their goals came from our midfielders' mistakes

Johnson failed to close Nani's cross and Fox lost his man on the first while Hoolahan failed to track Giggs for the second, Johnson was also really struggling yesterday despite being brought in specifically to make tackles and close down the opposition. Yes, we had good spells of possesion, but we lost the game due to our midfield failing to protect our defence, too much space was left for United to operate in our third of the pitch, hence why I feel we lost the midfield 'battle' (50/50's, winning the second ball, tight marking) while still being effective with the ball.
