For me a cult hero would be

Someone who was maybe at a club for 1 or 2 seasons, but made a name for himself, either in the way he played, the relationship he had with the fans, or for scoring an important goal.

A proper legend is someone who like Iwan was at the club for a number of years and made a massive contribution to the club.
