It was a very hard winter, lots of postponements so the match ended up being played on a Saturday (the two FA Cup ties at St Andrews were as cold as anything I can remember).
Travelled up on the train from London with the Caps, can't remember any trouble at all.
We had half (I think) of the standing behind the goal, packed and noisy, no idea of what the allocation was but must have been more than we have had there recently.
Can't remember whether it was because of injuries but Ken went for an odd formation and line-up and we hardly had a kick. They absolutely murdered us and the tie should have been over. Consensus on the journey home was that we had dodged a bullet and would do them in the second leg.
