Did similar...Up at 6.30 for 90 min drive to Bergerac.

10.30 Flight was fogged off, drove back that 90 mins, then drove up to Calais, under tunnel around 11.30pm, dropped kids with ex at the first service station, turned round, went under tunnel and drove back. Got back around lunchtime the following day.

Bloody stupid of me.
