for clubs our size is cup success. the vast difference between the prem and the rest makes it more of a possibility than ever before,we screwed up saturday, no two ways about it.
couple of things though:
Leicester played very well and wanted it more, as did their fans.
i think Lambert picked a side he thought would win and win comfy. ?I don?t think leaving out Grant or Ruddy or anyone made any difference because everyone else in my own view is good enough to play in the side,? he said.
?If I thought that then Naughton would have played, Holt would have played, Ruddy would have played, (Andrew) Surman would have played. We just never did enough to go through. i don't buy this, just simply he would NOT do that for a prem game. Ruddy, Naughton, Holt and surman have all been brilliant since christmas and very much in the starting line up.
ofcourse in Lambert i trust, getting very close to our best manager ever, but we are safe, i think we will be in the prem for as long as he stays. Just a massive chance missed.
in the whole of my 48 yrs we have always lost an fa cup match, so i'll get over it!! OTBC
