Scottish managers are killing/have killed the FA Cup,discuss...

Just putting it out there as an idea as to why The Cup doesn't have the kudos attached to it in within professional football circles that it used to, the glut of Scottish/Glaswegian managers in the Premier League over the past couple of decades seems to have coincided with the FA Cup being taken as less of a priority. Out of the current crop of managers only Dalglish played in English football for any reasonable period during their careers, so it has to be asked if they understand the special place it holds in(most) of our hearts? The Scottish Cup has never held the same importance up there as the The Cup has held down here(i used to live there so am speaking from some experience), maybe this inbuilt idea of the national cup competition not being 'all that' that exists in Scotland has transferred itself down here through the mass export of Scottish managers?
To check my theory i had a quick look at Cup winning managers since the Premier League started, as far as i can see only Ferguson of the many Scots to have managed down here has won the thing, and the last time he won it was nearly a decade ago.
Anyway, i'm glad i bought some tickets for me and the boy for the Olympic football at Wembley now. I've seen us play and win there in '85 but he's got no chance of seeing his team play there whilst the current in vogue attitude towards cup competitions prevails at our club.
