Resting players a few points....

Yes yesterday was a disappointment but....

Isn't resting players more a part of Lamberts overall strategy re team harmony/spirit than a genuine need to rest players. Unless I am missing something this is something that has been much praised in the past and recognized as a way of keeping everybody involved. It worked in the league against QPR and in the cup at West Brom. when 1-1 in that fixture key placers were replaced with Lappin and Wilbraham and the lads still got the job done. Could easily have gone the other way Jed was Man of the match remember??

Isn't it also so that resting players is more about key team members not picking up an injury? Given how poor Jackson and Morison were perhaps it can only be a good thing Holt wasn't risked. Even more so at full back where we have a long term injured Tierney, out of form and depth Martin, injury prone Drury and Naughton. It would simply of been foolish risking Naughton given the knock he was carrying.

It's also worth noting Leicester really are no mugs, they had a 5 million pound defender on the bench that many wanted to sign in the summer.

Anyway a disappointment but remember how far we have come. If we remain and develop in prem there will be other cup runs. OTBC
