Cameron faces the unelectable Brown after 13 years of Labour rule. Still can't win. Labour had a choice of four bad'uns and chose unwisely and now can't land a blow on the coalition.
In other words a man who should have won easily but didn't is still outperforming the most likely contender for his job next time round. Labour should ditch Ed but where do they go - Yvette Cooper may be their best bet but that's going from a 3/10 to maybe a 5/10.
Meanwhile over the pond Obama, who promised so very much but has delivered so very little and should be vulnerable, faces either a man disliked by his own party or a screaming right-wing nutter - either of whom he'll probably beat.
So the UK and the US have not entirely adequate leadership but even less adequate opposition and I can't see where better people are going to come from - the battle of the mediocrities.
No idea why I'm posting this a) at all or b) on a football site, but it bothers me.
Gah. Off to grumble at someone young about something.
