the wife is a self employed sole trader and we use a guy at Murrells on Thorpe Rd. About ?300 pa - I put everything onto a s/sheet and he does the rest, except pay the tax due!
Our theory is that HRMC don't investigate when you use an accountant whereas they are much more likely to do so if you do it yourself. So for that reason and the time and hassle it saves - its money well spent but we could definitely do it ourselves from what I've seen.
He's a nice bloke - so maybe worth a try.
