In that Mickey Mouse league, where Rangers & Celtic regularly finish 20+ points ahead of the rest. Chances are they will forgo the title this year in order to clear the debts, but still finish 2nd.

Its not going to be the same situation as say the Championship where when a team is deducted 10 points they drop from mid table into a relegation battle.
