You are right that the procedures are very basic and can be abused by those who wish to.

What surprised me first time round is that after a few weeks signing on , they make you attend a group meeting where they pretty much tell you that they only see about 17% of available jobs and that they are not very good ones.

Good luck getting something soon, what I have learned is that as well as the skivers at the JC there are also many genuine people looking.
