He's looking the real deal now

There is a delightful surprise that comes with players who appear not to be cutting it then proving you wrong. Allied to this are the players you might have thought wouldn't step up have, likewise, made a mockery of that assessment.

I can't remember what I've said about him myself, however I'm pretty sure I felt that he looked talented but lightweight - simply not dynamic enough for the Prem. Yet right now he almost looks like he might be our most important player.

I think most posters on here would admit to expressing doubts about a player from time to time (as your post proves and which makes the singling out of scc's doubts over Holt a bit silly) however we can at least all unite in the joy that being proved wrong brings when it comes to our players.

What next, Bradley Johnson becomes our Roy Keane? These days you can't rule anything out!
