Set top digital aerials are only really good...

if you're within spitting distance of a transmitter. As there's no way you can gob at Tacolneston from the Riverside...the external aerial is the only real option open to you. Trouble is with digital pictures, unless you have a really strong signal, the chances of corruption increase significantly with the reduction of signal strength.

It may be that your shared system aerial is digital compatable, but there's no way of knowing for sure...unless you can get access to that aerial. Best get a pro in to investigate and suggest the way forward for you.
