My Tax Return Last Year...

Did it online.
Didn't click the final "Send" button for some reason.
Realised when I didn't get my E Mail confirmation on Feb 1st.
Looked back through the form, realised what I had done, clicked and sent.
Few days later-in comes the letter, "late, ?100 fine".
Rang them up, "sorry, no, you were late, tough s**t, no exceptions".
Kicked up a helluva stink and said their site was misleading.
Same response.
Eventually had it 'suspended' as a GOG as they found a lot of other people had not finished the submission when they thought they had-there was a "Submit" button and then another after it, yet, after clicking the first, people thought it was done. Not so.
So let off it on a software technicality-otherwise they would have nailed me.
Easy to pick on I guess!
