...Man and wife walk into a bar.

Wife goes to get the drinks in, Man sits down at table.
Bowl of Peanuts on table start talking to the man, telling him how smartly he is dressed and how good looking he is.

Wife arrives back from bar, visibly upset, tells husband how the fruit machine started talking to her while she was waiting to be served. It was using foul obscenities and being personal and rude to her. Husband, angered and confused, approaches landlord to complain and tells him of their two experiences.

Landlord apologises - "sorry sir, it's been happening a lot lately. You see, the peanuts are complimentary but I'm afraid the fruit machine is broken and out of order".
