Everbody at the club from management upwards during summer 04 to spring 09 need to take a share of the blame.

In my eyes the blame chain runs as follows:

Doncaster>Munby=Delia=MWJ>Grant>Gunn>Roeder>Worhington

Worthington recieves the least blame for reaching a play off final and winning the old (not old old) division 1, despite wasting the earnt millions on clown shoes Hughes, Inflamed Colon, Donkerty, Mattias f**king Jonson! and the like. The failure to learn from mistakes was also frustrating, sitting on narrow leads, playing for draws away from home, naive defensive tactics, having a neon run way down our left flank for 2 1/2 years including the sign reading 'attack this way', he never did learn, evident in his reign as Norn Iron boss.

Roeder did a good job in 07-08 and bought in some good perms (Wes, Bell, Clingan) for little money and also mugged off Posh concerning Joe Lewis, the guy was just a terrible man manager and relied far too much on loans that undid his initial good work. Should never have been given a long term contract, an experienced board would have notice the pattern in his cv. Ironically would have been perfect given the contract Gunn was originally given (not at the that time obviously!), short term troubleshooter.

Gunn was a clueless old buffoon who should have known better and been sensible enough to advise the board to appoint someone experienced in the situation, I guess his ego got the better of him there, or a complete lack of self awareness. Poor motivator, players were unfit due to his leniant training schedule, not good enough in the transfer market and clueless tactically. I really think he put his own personal desires before the clubs best interests in signing his second contract, thank f**k we hired Lambert to sort out the mess! Club legend, yes, but his short reign was just as damaging as anybody elses at the club. Grant Holt signing the only redeeming feature.

Grant, well I actully hate the man, out of all our managers. Awful man manager that slagged off players in public and destroyed their confidence, slagged off the fans after Hull at home, was afforded the best summer champs budget any of our managers have ever had and blew it all on terrible slow uncreative SPL reserve league 1 standard players, he then led us into the mire and decided to walk instead of manning up and sorting out the issue knowing he'd used the last of the clubs resources. Spineless.

The board are extremely culpable for taking over a year too long to sack Worthington (should have gone after Fulham 6-0) and hiring a succesion of inept managers with either no experience or questionable records. Also, how the f**k did they manage to run the club into so much debt? Premiership money, parachute payments, selling our best players for millions. Yes we had a high wage bill, but we were consistently pulling in 24K for home games, something didn't add up.

Neil Doncaster is the worst culprit, could waste a couple thousand words ranting on this subject, won't bother, we all know how inept that guy was.

All just my opinion, i'm sure others vary greatly!
