When I took my car for it's MoT a few months ago the guy looked at the front tyres

and said they were both inflated to about half of what they should be. He then said it was a really good job I hadn't tried to inflate them correctly as they would probably both have exploded. He then showed me four of five massive cracks in the side of each one which you could easily wedge a pound coin in.

They could have both blown at any time, and I'd been driving about 500 miles a week on motorways for the previous 4 months. Almost shat myself.
