My brother thought the PSI in each tyre should be the maximum possible

i.e. at the tyres limit. So that was over 45 in tyres that should be driven on 31. And he wondered why it handled like a skateboard on an ice rink.

To be fair, he is a very competent track cyclist, with his track bike tryes inflated to over 100 PSI. But even so, FFS.
