ffs. Brand new cartridge, says it's missing or not detected

apparently a software update they've done to stop people using 3rd party ink. EXCEPT MINE'S FUCKING ORIGINAL. HP say I have to send it for service now it's out of warrantee.
It's a 70 quid printer with cartridges that cost 15 f**king pounts each. It's going in the bin.

Anyone got a recommendation for a good printer?
