while I remember the way you do....

looking back, older and wiser, either:

1 - MON was promised funds etc which were agreed and Chase welched on the deal....

2 - Chase was always up front about lack of funds, MON was happy at the time to work within these constrictions but eventually demanded funds which were refused which led him to walk...

looking at MON's record since leaving us, although successful on the pitch (except with villa, my villa supporting mates reckon the football was dreadful under MON and many of his big signings were flops) he has a record of walking away....

we only seem to compare him in his leicester days...
