O'Neill didn't seem keen to relocate and live in Norfolk, which apparantly wound the dear Mr Chase up.
And he had been promised cash for players which didn't head his way-O'Neill bought in Matthew Rush and Keith Scott and gave debuts to Danny Mills, Karl Simpson and Shaun Carey, perhaps sooner than he had wanted, as the squad was a bit thin on the ground.
Dean Windass was the tip of the iceberg, ?600k for a proven goalscorer and someone who would have probably worked wall alongside a Fleck, Cureton or Eadie. No Windass-and given MON options. He likes the targetman, he is after Kevin Davis at the moment, gives him and his side options.
No go so off he went.
