Well until the stories of "bigger" and richer Prem clubs getting interested started...

I must say it would have been the obvious destination really. Seems to tick all Lambert's boxes, we need a finisher, young, knows the area and potentially a replacement for Holt who won't last forever. Plus Lambret is one of the few who has proven to the whole country that he can take a League One player and turn him into a Premiership player.

Don't know what his pace is like though.
