yes....

run it on the hottest setting you can but empty! When you run it use one of those Finish dishwasher "cleaner" plastic bottles, you leave in the top drawer.

this will flush through and clean the system.

also remove the filters (normally located inside the dishwasher on the bottom, may have to unscrew a cap to get it)

just sounds like it needs a good clean.

that, or do a smell up its inlet pipe.
