two of the best managers we've had in recent years too. pprobably Mike Walker for a couple of years in the 90's, and then Martin O'Neill for a short while.

So not only are we reaping the benefits of Lambert's own managerial ability and the tactics he studied in Germany, but also the influence O'Neill would have had on him, together with Culverhouse who I'd imagine is also influenced with the mentality of not being scared of so called bigger teams from Mike Walker.
