putting to one side the specific policies that this film covers very well... unions in 79, falklands, miners strike, poll tax, cabinet revolt.... and take into account this film portrays maggies struggle as a female politician in a archaic male dominated "industry", her struggle to serve as a politician, be a loving wife AND a mother to twins all at the same time.
Coupled with the POV that today she is struggling with Alzheimers so the film flicks back in time and that sometimes she believed dennis was still there....
This is a film more about the person and what alzheimers is like....
Brought back many memories of growing up in Bitain in the 70's, 80's and early 90's..... but also rought back difficult memories of my dad who passed away from alzheimers nearly 4 years ago now.
Go see it, good film regardless of whether you hated/hate thatcher or not.
